My main training has been in Psychodynamic (founded by Freud) and
Person Centred (Carl Rogers) theories and I am committed to continual
personal development and attend regular workshops. This helps keep
me up to date with advances in the field and continually expand my skills.
In conjunction with my private practice I have also worked at Youth Talk, St Albans
and also at Bereavement Matters (counselling adults and
visiting schools) and Signpost Counselling for Young People Aged 11 to 25 in
Watford. I have worked as a Voluntary Supervisor for Cruse Bereavement Care.
I am a registered accredited member of the BACP and practice under its Ethical
Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am subject
to the Professional Conduct Procedure therein.

I studied counselling at the Mary Ward Centre in London.
I am a fully qualified Supervisor and Counsellor. I hold:
Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision
Level 4 Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills
Certificate in Therapy with Couples & Other Relationships
(currently working towards: Specialist House Diploma in Counselling Children &
Young People ages 7-18)
I work in an integrative way which means I am not confined to one school
of counselling. I like to work creatively offering helpful tools from various
respected theories including art therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy,
mindfulness, guided visualisations and Gestalt based exercises. I am a
LGBTQ+ affirmative counsellor.
